FIRST - winner of the Audi Channel Reel Talent Awards

The Audi Channel Reel Talent Awards, created and produced by The Hospital, set out the challenge at the start of this year, to deliver a film on the theme of 'First'.

Writer/director Tinge Krishnan's winning entry, FIRST, centres on Sophie, a teenager with learning difficulties who is a talented pianist. When her best friend Danko enters her into a prestigious composer comptition she discovers that the world is not quite ready for her unorthodox musical style.

The main characters of Sophie and Danko were in part inspired by the teenagers who play them in the film, Kali Perkins and Chris Lodge, who both attended the Pendragon School in South East London where much of the filming took place. We want to send a huge thank you out to all the cast, crew and individuals who helped make this film possible. We're really pleased with the results! Right now, we're entering the film into festivals, and hope you get a chance to see it soon.
